Stable Arts Studios, located in the beautifully preserved Victorian stable block, is now available to hire on a session basis, offering a unique opportunity to bring your work, ideas and teaching to life in a truly distinctive setting.
This carefully restored part of the estate, once home to the horses of the Sanford family, has been thoughtfully repurposed. It now offers a space that is both characterful and functional. The heart of the venue is a bright mezzanine studio, created above the original stables. Light pours in from large sash windows, revealing original timber beams and whitewashed walls. The result is a warm and inviting atmosphere that lends itself to creativity, calm and collaboration.
Whether you’re a solo artist looking for quiet focus, a tutor wanting to run a class, or a small group seeking a shared creative base, the studio can accommodate you. With space for up to ten students, it is ideal for workshops, courses or retreats focused on drawing, painting, textiles, pottery, crafts or even gentle wellbeing activities like yoga or mindfulness sessions.
The space is designed for flexibility. Sessions can be booked for morning, afternoon or full-day use, with current rates starting at just £50 for a 3-hour session.
