Senior Care Assistant Vacancy at Nynehead Court
Nynehead Court is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly and experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in providing high-quality care and enjoys supporting others to live well, with dignity and independence, in a calm and welcoming environment.
Set within 13 acres of gardens and parkland near Wellington, Nynehead Court is a privately owned residential care home with a long-standing reputation for thoughtful, person-centred care. Our team works closely together, and many of our staff have been with us for years. We value kindness, consistency and professionalism in everything we do.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in the daily running of the home. You will be responsible for leading a shift, supporting colleagues, and ensuring residents receive safe, attentive and respectful care at all times. This includes overseeing medication rounds, supporting care delivery, and acting as a point of contact for residents and staff during your shift. Full training will be provided for medication management and leadership responsibilities where required.
Your day-to-day work will involve supporting residents with personal care, mobility, meals and daily routines. You will also help create a positive atmosphere, offering reassurance, companionship and encouragement so that residents can maintain independence and quality of life.
Both day and night shifts are available. Shift patterns, hours and pay will be discussed at interview to ensure the right fit for you and the home.
We are looking for someone who is caring, reliable and confident in a senior care role. Ideally, you will hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, although experience and the right approach are equally important. You should be comfortable leading a shift, supporting colleagues and communicating clearly with residents and the wider team.
You will bring a calm and professional manner, strong attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to providing excellent care. Experience working with older people is essential, and experience in a senior or lead role is preferred.
Pay and benefits
Pay rate: £14.00 to £16.50 per hour
Pay is dependent on experience, shift pattern and weekend working
Free parking and on-site parking available
Full-time, part-time and permanent roles considered
Nynehead Court offers a supportive working environment where your skills are recognised and your contribution matters. You will be part of a team that values learning, teamwork and respectful care, in a setting that feels calm and purposeful.
Working here means being part of a close-knit community where residents and staff know each other well. You will have the time and support to do your job properly, build meaningful relationships and make a real difference to people’s lives. Our home is not task-driven. It is people-focused, with care shaped around individuals rather than routines.
If you are interested in joining Nynehead Court as a Senior Care Assistant, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us to discuss the role or arrange an interview. Join Nynehead Court and take the next step in your care career in a home where quality, respect and compassion come first.
