The upcoming programme includes two much-anticipated events: the Teddy Bears Picnic on Wednesday 9 July and our Fun Dog Show on Sunday 13 July. These events are always a highlight, bringing together residents, families, friends and members of the local community. While we’ll share more about both events closer to the time, they reflect something that sits at the heart of Nynehead Court, openness, inclusion and a love of sharing our space with others.
Our weekly activity timetable remains busy, offering opportunities for gentle exercise, reminiscence sessions, arts and crafts, baking, flower arranging and games. Film club continues to be well attended, and music sessions remain a firm favourite. For those who prefer quieter activities, one-to-one time is always available with our team.
Outings also form part of the month ahead, with small group trips into Wellington for shopping or coffee, and further afield for garden visits or lunch. Residents enjoy the chance to explore the local area at their own pace and to take part in outings that feel familiar, friendly and well supported.
In the home, the kitchen team continues to produce high quality, seasonal food with a focus on nutrition and enjoyment. Menus are shaped by resident preferences, and special occasions are marked with themed meals, cakes and afternoon teas. Every effort is made to ensure mealtimes are sociable, unhurried and a real part of the day.
