The Nynehead Court Estate
Nynehead Court
The Grade 2* listed country house provides residential care, respite care, day care, short breaks and visits for older retirees in gracious surroundings with dedicated, full time, locally employed, professional staff.
The Mulberry Wing
The newly completed wing provides a more intimate environment, with a higher ratio of staff to resident, where a more orchestrated level of activity is available to those with memory impairment, or in need of greater stimulation.
Nynehead Mews
The Mews consists of individual 1, 2 and 3 bedroomed 'close care' houses within the grounds of the Court, from where any level of care and support can be provided to meet changing needs, as and when it may ever be required.
The Orangery
The Orangery is well utilised as amenity space for residents and is also available for informal gatherings, meetings, concerts, 'big breakfasts,' lunches, dinners, presentations and displays, bridge conventions, weddings, christenings, private parties and general entertainment.
The Grounds
Listed by English Heritage, the formal gardens - which are currently closed to the public due to Coronavirus - are set in 13 acres of level parkland with 45 species of trees, a walled pinetum, a parterre, a productive walled garden, twocroquet lawns and one of the largest icehouses in the country. A Sculpture Park opened in the grounds in September 2015 and new installations are introduced regularly.
Facilities
The orangery, the converted loose boxes and the grounds are all well suited to different activities, displays and functions. Whilst they are well utilised by the residents, they are also well suited to outside events and can be hired for public use.
Garden tours, with a meal or refreshments, are popular with outside groups, societies and other interested parties and can be arranged by prior appointment with the Head Gardener.
